Dual Battery Setup- opinions?

I've had the the IBS dual battery set up in my 2010 Tacoma for a few years and its been great. Installed it and have never had any issues with it. It's primarily used to power my fridge (lasts over 36 hours with a optima blue top). I like the idea that I can add a solar set up to it, that it maintaince free and easy to use. I never have to think about it. I've used it to jump myself when my starter battery died and love that the controller shows the batteriy status. Cables and everything are robust... To keep things looking stock I mounted the controller under the arm rest so it's stowed away when I don't need it. Overall it's been great. Got mine from Will at Sierra expeditions...was seriously looking at the National Luna system but ended up with the IBS. No regrets. Let me know if you have any questions.

Any dual, but separate, battery set-ups for +04 Tacomas? There is a perfect spot for a second battery near the firewall on the passenger side. I haven't seen any tacoma setups there yet.

I added a dual battery into my '13 Tacoma
I had to move a few things around to make room for it on the passenger side by the fire wall.

lqdchkn where did you get the p/s reservoir relocation bracket from?
I really would like to remount my battery up front on passenger side like you have.

They added more stuff on the passenger side after a certain model year. Mine has enough room I could probably put two on the pax side. I only need one.

I see you've mixed flooded cell with an AGM yellow top... You should consider changing your main battery to an AGM as well. The two batteries charge at different rates and you could overcharge your yellow top.

I suppose that only technically matters depending on how he's charging them. I can't tell from the pics what charging method he's employing can you?

Well that kit pairs the batteries. So that would mean the alternator charges both, which could lead to damage of the AGM battery.

It's a simple fix, just upgrade the main battery to an AGM as well.
