New areas, even in your own back yard can be quite the adventure in themselves. Thanks for the report, will have to find my way over there one day.

We began our trip by taking the Cherry Creek Road. It is well traveled, as there are ranches and cabins in the vicinity.

If you are on a motorcycle, beware that crossing! There is a layer of algae that is super slick...it took 3 people to get my bike stood back up and across it. Nothing like a nice winter ride soaking wet...

Great trip Jeff! I'm putting this one in the books to do this winter when the snow piles up and my wife gets cabin fever. The cabin is a great find and the scenery is awesome, truly Arizona!

WOW what a great looking local outing....I didn't know about most of the area you covered but it sure is on the list now.

The Taco & FlipPac look great, any issues on the outing?

Living without a fridge....I don't think I could ever do that again...sure I have to when we are with the Boy Scout backpacking trips but if I got a rig then I got a fridge

The Taco and Flippac are very functional, but I question the aesthetics:sombrero:

No problems on this trip, just some close calls.

I suspected as much (both the dirt & pavement and the NAU connection). Do you manually do that or is there some neat Google Earth feature that automatically does it?

So the road at Workmans Creek is still open to Aztec Peak? It can be very windy camping up there. The fire rings are about 3 feet tall.
