Edgestar Fridge vs Yeti Cooler

Fridge all the way... that said I'd never get rid of my cooler... as someone already said.... more convenient for beverages around the fire ;) I know I can keep beverages in fridge too but I just feel all the in and out is not practical.

I got tired of warm beer many years ago but have been making do (The best camping starts on Sunday after friends and the neighbors go home, and the wildlife comes out to live, IMO).
I recently got an Edgestar 430, the insulation and seals look pretty good, and it even has a water drain.
Out of curiosity, has any one actually done a, unpowered, ice lasting comparison between an Edgestar and good/not cheap coolers?
I remember, as a kid, block ice used to last near a week, but haven't gotten anywhere near that kind of performance with a modern (mid-priced) coolers.

Enjoy!

Global warming... No way a block will last as long as it did when you were a kid.

frig , you can pack more and don't have to waste space for ice. You can even pack it a day ahead of time , no problems.... temp reading on outside so no guessing .. Keep it in the garage for a beer cooler when not loaded in car.... priceless.

I have a Yeti 105 for my boat - it's great for drinks, bait, and cooling the catch. For keeping food cold, the fridge is far superior - you can use the space that a cooler uses for ice and save a lot of space in your vehicle. No contest.
