EGR Valve

I’ve been curious for a while now if the non-California spec (Fed-spec) Gen 2.5 Montys with the SOHC 3.5 have an EGR valve and solenoid. I feel like I read somewhere there’s a possibility it does not have one. Can anybody confirm?

Also the Fed-spec should only have 1 catalytic converter right, no pre-cats?

Um...had pre-cats on my '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my 14 Sierra 5.3, unless I'm looking at something I only THINK are precats

I can't answer your question but I can say that my '97 gen 2 SR 3.5l sohc does not have any egr equipment. And my '98 gen 2.5 winter package 3.5l sohc does have the full egr system. Both were bought new in CA.
