IMHO this concept is one of the best expedition vehicle concepts in the country. Admittedly a lot of extra stuff into it to make it 4x4, but still he brought them in within a VERY reasonable price for a vehicle of this type. Look at any of the others, you pay this much for an ER.

Beautiful truck. Best of luck.

Thank You "Ford Prefect' for the "positive" opinion expressed of the Fuso FM 260 expedition vehicle which is listed for sale. With a bit of humor, I agree with your perspective however my credibility is in question since I am attempting to sell. I will be forever grateful to Darrin Fink (mechanical and engineering genius) for his design, creativity and quality product. The Fuso FM 260 allows easy access to the engine for maintence and repair unlike many of the other products in the market. This commercial chassis and engine is durable.

I had not ever previously intended to sell however aging and medical issues sometimes require change and accommodation. With matter of fact humor I would previously joke about being found in a remote and picturesque location by Expedition Portal members in a mummified, decomposed or frozen state in upcoming years.....

My wife (best friend and traveling partner) is fighting an incurable cancer which limits her travel and her ability to enter and exit the cab safely even with assistance. Out of love and respect for my wife and these new "realities" we have chosen to sell. This decision has not been casually made and has been difficult however is necessary and reasonable under the circumstances.

Daniel,
Sorry to hear you have to sell. I had stopped by when Darrin was building this and was impressed with the thought and attention to detail that went into it. Good luck with the future.

You are very welcome Mr. Ruops, my mother was taken by cancer, at the comparatively young age of 62 and I can say that without doubt my father will forever be grateful the he was able to retire two years early and spend the last two years of her life together. They had planned to travel the world together, sadly that was not to be. I am certain I would do the same as you.

I am looking for a new expo truck, but sadly I am only in the 30-60k price range right now. Wish I could make an offer for your beautiful truck.

Best wishes, and good luck with the sale.

(You might consider placing and add in Germany, perhaps a fly and buy can be arranged. Try "mobile.de" they often has expedition trucks on there.)

Mr. "Ford Prefect"
Thank you for recommending "Mobile.de". I have submitted my information to them.

Words will not suffice regarding what you and your parents have experienced. My best wishes to you.

Our guest room is ready for your arrival should you choose to visit the "congested cesspool of Southern California".

Mike did not ever politely thank me for the 6 desserts that I so generously provided him at the first Overland Expo in Prescot Arizonia....

PRICE REDUCTION

The realities of the marketplace suggest that it would be wise if I reduce the price to $190,000.

"Let your travels begin."
