I got on to a local repeater, dialed in 9251 made a connection to the western reflector out of Las Vegas NV. I never heard anyone on the radio! I made several CQ's and heard nothing....what happened? Did I not do something or what? any help would be appreciated for the next time...

You did nothing wrong. The reflector isn't working. Haven't gotten the reason why yet, but I'll let everyone know if I find out.

I thought I missed it... I got on but heard nothing. I was looking forward to it, hopefuly we don't have to wait till next month to do it again!

I was at Tom's house in the driveway and keyed up the same local repeater he took control of for the net. I heard him, but nobody else.

Geez...I am an idiot...I was putting a little girl to bed and remembered the net was last night...too late for me to get high enough in altitude to hit the repeater...

I guess I didn't miss much....

Andrew, all you missed was poor ol' me wondering if I was a lone voice calling into thin air :smilies27 I tried for about 15 minutes, reconnected to the reflector twice, and finally came to the conclusion that even though I had what seemed like a good connection, the system was down.
