Is there a site that streams the audio from that node?
I'd like to monitor the net, but I don't think I can hit the repeater that has an IRLP link in this area with my HT.

Give these a try!

RENO, NV

I found 3 nodes 25 miles from Zip Code: 89501

Node, Node Call, State, Frequency, PL/DCS, Distance in Miles

3064, N7TGB, NV, 147.4300, 123.0, 5.58

5560, N7TGB, NV, 440.0250, 123.0, 15.32

3082, N7ARR, NV, 441.6500, 123, 16.00

Ill be on 3286 (447.175 PL186.2). It's linked to 146.805, same PL. I can hit it from pretty much anywhere in town. If I'm on first, Ill link it up, if you get there first, feel free.

Thanks,
I might hit 3082, I'm south of Reno proper.
I just have a 5W HT with a rubber duck antenna.

It was great to have Scott, BogusBlake, Cabrito, and SoCalFJ on the net. We had a good discusion on the Trophy and Overland Society.

I'm looking forward to the next net!

I'm bummed I keep missing these! I need to plan a road trip & drive somewheres where I can hit a repeater w/ IRLP. Or go join the local ham club & persuade them to install one here close to Flagstaff...

Yes good talk last night. Thanks for coming on and answering questions Scott. Thanks to you Mark for taking up net control and making it happen also.

Yep I was there... Sort of...
I had asked two of my local repeaters for permission to us the IRLP connection to participate in this net and the one with great coverage that I used last time gave me what amounted to a slap on the hand for even asking to tie up their repeater for the hour.
The other one that I ended up using does not have the greatest coverage so I had to rush back to the city after I got off work at 7pm. The repeater owner was very cool and even changed the 20 minute timeout he had for the IRLP connections so that I would not get disconnected, and his repeater is on the Win System.
Next time I will try to get off of work earlier. I pretty much missed most of the conversation but did get bits and pieces.
