Expo Refrigerators when not on a trip

What do most people do with tyheir 12v frigs when they are not on a trip? I have seen some people just keep it in their vehicle running with beverages; some people use it as a home beer cooler; some use it as a secondary freezer in the home. Any reason to use it continousely vs. any reason not to?

Beer fridge here. We keep ours in the corner of the kitchen. Biggest advantage for us is that it's very fast and easy to dilute the beer supply with whatever food you want from the fridge and as you bring groceries home....camping stuff straight into the fridge. Also brings everything down to temp on AC....less battery use when you put it in the rig to go.

I like to run it all the time. As Verkstad said, if it starts to act up, I'd rather notice when getting beer in the kitchen than getting beer at camp. :ylsmoke:

the more one uses it, the sooner it wears out or breaks.

The compressors pretty much go forever. Sitting in your home I would think is nothing compared to bouncing in the van
