Thanks man!

I contacted BOTH Thuren and Carli at the beginning and both of them told me they didnt have anything whatsoever compatible with the 4500/5500s

That led me to the spacers. I used the spacers for a VERY short time and took them out and installed the Kelderman kit in the front as well.

If you come up with some 2.5" lift coils for the 5500 that ride better than stock, i will be the first in line for a set! One thing i am digging about the Kelderman though is that it moves the shock outside the spring and opens you up for a lot of different shock options.

But yeah.....

Let me know ASAP if you want/need a test dummy.

It is a bit silly that both of those organizations, seen as the leaders in RAM susp upgrades, haven't branched out past the 2500/3500's. Enough people building 4500/5500's now, heck they could sell their stuff to GXV, Nimbl, etc. Lost revenue!

Built these. Will be using OEM bushings. With custom built 2.5 inch lift springs and Fox 2.5s with clickers. Also there will be a swaybar change of some sort. Ill start a thread next week on the suspension build. Waiting for my wheels and tires. 335/80/20 Goodyears on Stazworks 2PC 20x11s

Anyone having issues with Buckstop 1pc forged 20” wheels for MPT tires? Thinking about them (vs Wehring 1pc forged Hutchinson) for a rig…

Am I reading this right? The king of “I dont need that much rig, I need to be light, I can do this and be light” is now looking for big stuff?

Oh boy…. Do share…. [insert laughing middle finger emoji]

I accept a long (2 paragraph minimum) reply that I was right.

Thanks bro

LOL. Not looking anymore, already satisficed—see sig. I hadn’t shared yet with you as I knew I’d be mocked. Ready to eat crow though, hehe.

And I agree it’s heavier than I’d like, but I’ve had to accept that save for the $5xxK+ Truckhouse BCR, the industry doesn’t give 2 shiiiiiiiits for being mindful of weight. Sad but true.

Making memories won out in this long-term fight. Didn’t have many options and life-sized cardboard cutout of Sir Colin Chapman only goes so far in reducing weight (unsprung or not).

XOXO

Hahahahaha.. Well said sir…

Not a bad choice honestly…

However…. Since you, like myself, are more tuned into driving nicer things and how things should feel and handle, I look forward to the “holy crap these tires are miserable, what are my options” posts

Hint: There isn’t any…. You’ll eventually go back to duallys, get rocks lodged in between the tires that will cause an explosive flat and it will burn to the ground

Thx.
I’m thinking Petlas RM910s are my next tire vs Conti MPT81. I will say on my test drive on hwy and country roads, I was pretty impressed by lack of frustrating noises. Could definitely feel the rear end weight vs F350/Aterra, but since I’m used to Michelin XZL’s and 60mph on the J159, I’ll probably be in an ok mindset for other big/heavy military tires on the ER.

Hehe, I was originally thinking DRWs for winter tire use, but for non-winter the lack of airing down 19.5 or 22.5 isn’t ideal. Oh and there’s also that rock lodging between rear duallies phenomenon. <rolleyes>
