ARB Bumper and AVM Hubs Installed
Just an update on what I've installed in the last couple of weeks:
- Jeep Grand Cherokee ARB Bumper: I took it to a fabricator and had the ARB bumper installed. It wasn't cheap but he beefed up the frame mounts, trimmed the ends to match the lines of the truck, and did it in a way that the bumper can be unbolted from the front in case I have to replace the winch sometime in the future. I think it looks good.
AVM Locking Hubs: I've had these on for a while but am just getting around to updating this post. They work like a charm.
Flexible Antenna: I broke the retractable antenna off roading. I tried to push through a limb hanging over the trail and broke the antenna. My stereo is aftermarket and can't be turned off so the antenna was always up while the truck was running. The flexible one works great and is much more off road friendly, even if it is leaning a little.
I also replaced all of the stereo speakers except the driver side dashboard speaker. On my trip back from Portland, the rear passenger speaker and the driver side dashboard speaker were the only ones that weren't blown. Now the stereo sounds great.
That's it for now. I'll wire up the winch and turn signals on the bumper and get on with installing some lights onto the bumper.
