16"X12"X16" = 6 pounds? Wow. That seems pretty heavy.

Germany engineering...what would you expect.

I never thought of these. I've seen them for years at my local woodworking store but never thought of them as a container system for vehicles. Good thought!!:elkgrin:

One of my friends has a Festool saw + box + rails + other parts of the system. Pricey stuff. But it's kinda neat that the boxes can interlock. My friend has the saw in one box interlocked to another box with accessories. It's almost like Legos where multiple small boxes can interlock to become a big single unit.

I bought about 20 of those, including the Festool power tools over the last two years. Yes, they are expensive! Very...

But, they are worth every cent! I use them in my shop, on job sites and do not baby them. I was thinking of including them into my camper build, but as a private expense I couldn't justify spending that much money on storage boxes... Don't get me wrong, they are great, but not what I needed. After all, you can get some Otter boxes for that money too and those are waterproof!
