This wont be a sleeper. More for cargo, water, and power. Im just getting started but could use all the help I can get!
I plan on dividing the trailer into 3 sections: The front 25% will be power; 12V, 110v, deep cycle battery, and 50W solar panel. The next 25% will be water; 25 gal tank (insulated), water pump, propane water heater. The back 50% will be all cargo.
The deck of the trailer is 3/4" cabinet grade plywood with 2 coats of Teak stain Thompsons water seal.
The sides will be 1x8 tongue and groove white pine (4 boards tall) also coated with thompsons.
1- I'd like to have a swing out tailgate on a hidden piano hinge. not sure how thats gonna work though bc I want to have the trailer's front and rear panels spanning the entire width of the trailer (rather than in between the side panels.) thoughts?
2- I addition to having vertical supports on the side panel's boards, should I use wood glue in the tongue and groove or not? I was thinking No in order to allow for flex.
3- Once the side panels are constructed, should I use some flexible clear caulk on the grooves in order to waterproof the box more?
