Use a good preasure washer before paiting that way you can get a lot of the peeling paint off, then scrape it and sand where needed.

I bought it from an individual who picked it up at auction. He does this a lot, so I didn't have to mess with any of the paperwork, etc. The guy lives near Macon, so I assumed he bought it from Robins AFB.
Great information on your thread. It's nice to see someone else pulling one of these with a two-door Wrangler. I'll have a better idea of what I want to do to it, long term, after I use it a couple times.
