Anytime we get questions from potential buyers I also post them here assuming others may have the same/similar questions as well.

  1. This purchase can be financed - we don't offer financing in-house but many banks will offer lending for a truck camper. We can help you/your bank with paperwork as well.

  2. This seems to be a common question; We do accept credit cards for the purchase. Generally, FWC will only allow a buyer to place a deposit with a credit card, and the reminder has to be cash (cashiers check). However, we will work with you to put as much as you'd like on a credit card if that is the route you'd prefer to go.

  3. This is a showroom model and was never used so it will be sold as a "new" camper with a warranty, no different than any new buyer would get today. However, we have some flexibility on pricing. We will not be charging sales tax on this unit, we will not be charging any shipping, and we will also not be charging for installation.

This is how the math works out:
    • Grand Total Before Discount (as seen in quote): $49,374.15
    • Sales Tax Discount: $2,144.15
    • Shipping Discount: $1,295
    • Install Discount: $795
    • Total Discount: $4,234.15
    • Grand Total With Discount: $45,140
Having been a dealer for 12 years I can comfortably say that, that is a smoking price for a new FWC loaded with options. Even when FWC offers a show special, we don't come close to that level of discount on a new camper.

Hope this helps!

Got 2 more questions today:

  1. Is this camper the same as what FWC is building today? IE any differences in this and one built today?
    • The camper was built in March 2023 and is about 8-9 months old. It has never been slept in, never mounted to a pick up truck or taken to trade-shows, and was only used as a demo inside our small Denver showroom. It is literally the exact same thing FWC is building today.

    • This particular camper represents the higher-end of the spectrum when it comes to FWC's wiring/battery/charging options. This camper was optioned with their brand new Red-Arc Power Management System and also Dakota Lithium Batteries so you are still getting the latest/greatest with this camper and not missing out on anything new.
  2. Is there anything wrong with the camper? Why the discount?
    • Nothing wrong with the camper and no visible wear and tear from being in the showroom. It is in brand spankin new condition!

    • The discount is my way of providing some compensation for a model that was used in my showroom to sell campers. Its always how I've handled showroom models and seems like the right thing to do. For example, it is already here and since it was used in the showroom to sell campers (that my business profited from) then do I really need to charge for shipping again? I don't think so and why I pass stuff like that along to the buyer.

    • Additionally, I believe a discount helps to provide incentive for someone to act sooner than later. If this hawk happens to be equipped the same way a customer would order one today then this is a legit opportunity to save some coin. OR even give a buyer some wiggle-room to purchase a camper with a few more options than they'd go for without the discount.

    • However you want to look at it, its a nice opportunity for me to get my last showroom model out the door and for a FWC buyer to save some money on a brand new camper with its orginal warranty.
Hope this helps!

Happy Tuesday!

I had an interested buyer that reached out with some questions on pricing. They were not able to use the builder-tool on FWC's website to reproduce the same price which was causing some confusion about why I was charging what I was.

Few things:
  • The builder tool on the FWC website will generally provide a subtotal; which is the campers base price plus selected options. Depending on what the customer selects, it does not always account for install charge. Additionally, since delivery, tax, and other fees are different location to location, it will also leave those out. In other words, the quote provided on the FWC website using the builder tool will not include install, tax, delivery, doc fee, and other fees charged by each location.

  • I've attached the PDF that was used in the original post for clarification. This is the official FWC order form and was current end of August when that quote was written. That is where all the numbers come from. Labeled 21Aug23 below.

  • Additionally, FWC has updated that order form since August, which causes some changes. They are charging more for 1 option. And 2 other options have changed ever so slightly, those prices have also gone up. That quote has been attached as well. Labeled 11Dec23. I kept the options that are actually on this camper so one can compare apples to apples so to speak.
    • The redarc and dual battery set up as of this post are now $6,390 instead of $5,250
    • They are no longer offering the option of "standard thermal package for $825" OR "quilted thermal package for $1,275" and now only offering the quilted version
    • They are no longer offering the single 160watt solar option and the minimum you can opt for is a dual 125watt package (250watts total).
  • Keep in mind that FWC is raising prices on campers by $1,000 on Friday 12/15.

Hope this helps!
