That 400 is a great motor with tons of potential! Everybody loves the 351c, and a 400 is just a strocked Cleveland. Emissions bogged it down in the later 70's but it doesn't take much make em really go.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the interior will be updated next spring/summer, though... i do love the shag carpeting lol. I am a turbo diesel guy, i just love em! but this 400 already has 351c heads on it, Edelbrock carb, Moroso ignition. It runs great, but i would like more power and better gas mileage lol. But thats why a 12v swap isn't high on the priority list. I'm planning on painting her next year as well... Just not set on color or scheme yet... Thinking about flat black, olive drab, sand, or desert camo... I'm sure i'll change my mind 1000 different times until i actually pull the trigger lol. I think it has 4.10 gears in it now, though not positive... I will probably be adding lockers when i lift her... Which once again, isn't much of a priority b/c its awesome as it sits!

You should start a build up thread on this, even if your just doing minor cleanup work. Its a very interesting rig and ive never seen one in person before especially one with my favorite ford bodystyle. Cant wait to learn more about it.
+1 for the Cummins Swap!

I just traded my 2012 F350 in on this beast. I had been looking for one of these for years and just stumbled into this one. 2000 F250, super cab, xlt, 6 speed manual, short bed. The best part is no more truck payments.

The first thing I did was pick up a set of 285 Goodyear duratracs.

It just had a bunch of work done at the dealer as part of the deal I made. New windshield, new ball joints, new brakes including rotors, a big dent got repaired and it got a full service.

My 2011 I bought last october with just shy of 8k miles. All I have done to it is put 30k miles on it and weather tech floor mats, window visors, mud flaps, and toyo at2 285/75/18. Oh and the plow when I bought it.

That means more money for mods...:)

My thoughts exactly. My plans are to use it for work for the next month or so to find out what it needs and also start doing baseline maintenance. After that I'm thinking just a shell on the back to start taking it on some trips to see what mods it really needs.
