They balance OK, make less noise than BFG MT's and grip rocks like mad at 15psi.

Hell, that's darn near street pressure! Why don't you air those things down and see what they can really do!!!! :shakin:

Oh man those SSR's will rattle the fillings out of your teeth! They perform great offroad but road wise as wi=th all swampers (minus truxus) They we not designed for the road.

The SSR's are good tires. they are strangly quiet in comparison to other big mudder tires. -I had a set on my old truck. The only thing I didn't like is they didn't have a very long life span. But at the end of the day I can say they were good tires,....:)

I just ran down to the Discount Tire shop with this thread printed off. The guy there came out with a 35" tire (i do not remember the exact size) and he said it would not fit - no way - no how. Now keep in mind I have an 05 Taco with 3" of lift. He was not even willing to trial fit it - said it was a waste of time. (I really hate it when people wont let me waste money...)

Not being a savvy truck tire guy, I will be curious as to your application Ron and how the setup works for you.

I think your talking about the bias ply versions. the radial swampers I have been around all tend to be pretty good balance wise. bias plys are a whole different ball game!!!

I ran a set of 35's on a YJ for a while. There were great on road and off and road noise was minimal. I didn't keep them long enough to gauge tread. And like stated above; they did seem to cut easily in the rocks. Performance was great though.

Hey Ron - what's up with the tires? Did you ever get them? I am on the brink of a new purchase but want to wait to see what you think of your setup. :jumping:

I ran the SSR's in 35x12.5x15 (closer to a 36), they were out of round and wouldnt balance worth a damn. I did the BB trick and it helped some, but in the end i hated them.

A tad noisier than BFG MT's, chunking/slicing, and wore quickly. Please dont take it as bashing your purchase, just sharing my experience.

What do people think of BFG's new 33X9.50 size? I'm putting new tires on my rig, but I don't have enough experience with tires to know which is better between the 33x9.50 and 10.50 sizes.
