FS: Camper Insert for 2020 Subaru Outback - Rhode Island - $350

We were lucky to spend the worst of CV19 in New Zealand working and traveling. When we got home we built an insert for car camping in our 2020 Subaru Outback (and did a 10k mile trip around the USA). Now that we are building a tow behind trailer to travel in a bit more comfort, the insert is for sale!

• Custom fit for 2020 Subaru Outback (and any other model years with the same interior dimensions).
• Vertical and horizontal surfaces from 1/2” Birch Plywood.
• All edges pre-drilled and screwed together (had been planning on glueing but was rock solid already).
• Most surfaces covered with speaker box carpet (glued and stapled).
• Tri-fold design using piano-style hinges (in order to contain in trunk area with back seat in use).
• Fully deployed platform is 110cm wide by 190cm long (we tilt the front seats forward a little at night).
• Top of platform sits 21cm off truck floor.
• When deployed there are two fold out supports that follow the angle of the back seats when down and three screw in legs to support the front section (made from G10 tube I had around).
• Small hinged wings at back sides to prevent things from falling down and allowing better access.
• Heavy duty full extension drawers.
• Left drawer interior is 47.5cm wide by 90cm long by 17cm deep.
• Right drawer interior is 35cm wide by 90cm long by 17cm deep.
• Right drawer has split work space covers that are aluminum sheet with an edge detail (all glued in place).
• Right drawer is laid out to fit our Camp Chef Everest 2X (which is *NOT* included).
• Note that the only wood that has been treated is the interior of the drawers which I resin-wiped.
• Only missing detail is something to hold the back drawers closed underway.
• Total weight is just under 32kg (70lb).
• We also have a tri-fold foam mattress available. The photo shows it before I cut the width down to fit. We paid $160 for it new.

We are into the insert alone for around $600 (not including any of our labor).

Asking $350 for the insert only. $400 for the insert and the mattress.

We also have a Yakima SlimShady 6.5 Lightweight Roof Mounted Awning that we deployed only a few times and then put inside our garage for storage.
