I'm looking to sale my custom Dexter 3500 lb trailer axle. I had this axle custom ordered through R & P carriages last spring (march of 2017). I Just picked up a pair of matching wheels for my jeep and need a shorter axle, so i can run 5x5 hubs and wheel spacers. I am located in Nashville TN
This axle is currently setup with the 4 bolt flange for electric trailer brakes and is compatible with 10 x 2.25" electric brakes. NOTE: I will be keeping my 10 x 2.25" electric trailer brakes. I special ordered the 10 x 2.25" brakes with manual parking brake and want to keep that since I've already built the manual parking brake system to work with it.
There will be a 3-4 week wait time on when I can remove the axle, although I may be able to pull it out after memorial day weekend. I will be placing my order for my new bare axle in the next day or 2 and the current build times from dexter are 3-4 weeks.
Axles specs:
Type: Dexter T35 3500 lb axle with ez lube spindles, straight 2 3/8" diameter tubing
flange face to flange face measurement: 63 5/8" (I can provide a hub face to hub face measurement if need be)
spring perch centers are 50" and setup for spring under
What I'm wanting to sell. (reminder, I am keeping the 10x2.25 electric trailer brakes. You will need to source your own trailer brakes to have a complete axle. There are multiple options and I'd be happy to get you the part numbers of what I ordered.)
All parts have about 6500 miles on them. The trailer has been very well cared for and always garage kept.
bare axle: $80
Bare axle plus 6 x 5.5" hub/drums: $160
bare axle, hubs/drums, wheels/tires: $350
Hubs/Drums: 6 x 5.5" bolt pattern. 1/2" x 20 studs. Note: This hub pattern with work with most all GM 6 lug wheels and Some Toyota 6 Lugs wheels.
Wheels: 16" chevy silverado/tahoe wheels. I will also include the OEM 1/2"x20 lug nuts with external threads for the center caps. Plus, I had custom UHMW hubcentric rings made for extra safety that I will include(total of 4).
Tires: 2 - 265/75R16 Pathfinder AT. Purchased at Discount tire last June and have a transferable road hazard warranty! the spare is same size but older firestone tire. I also have the 4th rim with a bald tire I'll include.
Just for reference; My trailer frame is 52" wide outside edge to outside edge.
