This is my new project..........

2010 FTS800. Hoping to set it up for long range touring and camping.

Converted to auto when new. So now has Allison Auto.
Electric Tilt Cab
I think about 400 Litres in 2 fuel tanks.
Suspension seats for driver and passenger etc etc.

Currently getting the Hyrail System off.

Hope its not too big and restricts places I want to travel.

Plans for future are
winches front and rear
Bull Bar
Extra Water Tanks
Solar and 48v house battery set up
Fit out including toilet and shower etc.

Looks like a nice starting point, but yes, the size of this truck will likely preclude some tracks, given its width.
The Hyrail would open up other travel options, as long as you were willing to play chicken with the trains...

Looking forward to seeing how you progress with this build.

New Old bullbar. Metal work for bullbar support will need some work later.....

Seats removed.

Looking good, our FTR Isuzu looks very much the same as your FTS just with some subtle differences with it being a newer model.Good luck with the rego as I know OZ can have some funky laws in regards to different parts of the country.I am speaking more from the Hotrod side of registration so no idea on the RV side.

I think FTS has wider cab maybe. FTS has three wipers. Also 7.8 6 cyl, which in the states is rebranded as part of the duramax family

Very similar as we also have the three wipers, and ours running the 6.7 Cummins with Alison trans.
