Ditto. I had one of each until I filled the larger one at a gas station (while fueling the truck) and forgot that I put it on top the tire. I paid, and drove over it, but it didn't burst. I'd say they're durable enough.
Lesson learned? put the darned fuel bottle away immediately after you fill it.
