Fuel Mileage drop in 03 Tacoma, Help!

Hey Hossier what brand of 02 sensor did you put in? I've heard of off brand 02 sensors not working like they should. So it might not have fixed the problem.

Remember, since cool air is more dense, your computer will automatically adjust for more fuel to mix with it. It could be that since your O2 sensor was bad, your truck was running lean and thus using less fuel. I always get crappier mileage in the winter, and it isn't all from winterized gas blends, though they def. contribute.

Yeah, the truck running more rich and with the 10%+ ethanol gas = crappier mileage. At least the price of gas is still down....for now........ :sombrero:

I used a Denso 234-9001 to repace the front sensor and the check engine light did stay off.

Thanks to all for your input. I will try to get to cleaning the mass air flow this weekend. I will let you know of any changes.
