Gen 2.5 Newbie Checking In

Thanks for the info! I think I'm going to skip them this go around and monitor oil consumption/smoking (if there is any). I need to direct funds toward more pressing wheel-bearing issues at the moment....

I would do the valve stem seals if your doing all the other work. When you put the truck back together then they will leak, it's just how it works.

From what I've read it was the older 3.0 that had the issue with the actual valve guides. The "newer" v6's just suffer from age related hardening of the valve stem seals which leads to oil leaking into the chamber.

If I'm mistaken somebody let me know haha.
