Does anyone know how the shifter bezel comes off to replace the indicator bulb? I don't see any screws and it didn't budge pulling up on it.

It explains it in the FSM (factory service manual). Download it from mitsubishilinks.com. If your year isnt one of the available manuals, any of the gen 2-2.5 models will have the same r&r procedures.

Are you on about the one next to the gear selector that has the PRND12 on it?

You need to empty your cubby box in between the seats, undo the screws at the bottom of it,take off the front bit with the 2 switches/blanks in it,2 screws at the bottom of deep recesses in that, pull up the plastic around the handbrake, that just pulls out, then the cubby will then lift up.

Then you'll find a screw on each side, around where your knee would be if you were sitting in the front seat, take these out,and unscrew the knob from the transfer lever, then the whole lot will lift up and you'll have access to the underside of the gear shifter. This sounds awful but its only about 10 minutes, the hardest part is emptying the crap from the cubby and unplugging the 12v sockets
