Gen 2 Lower Trunk Hinge Pin Specs (Pics)

We all know that the lower hinge pin of the gen 2 trunk/swing gate breaks causing the hinge to fail.

I bought an extra one off of a member to replace my broke one. I decided to take it apart, clean up and rust and lube the pin.

Before I put it together I took some measurements for future reference. I might end up making some if I can find a suitable material if anyone does not want to purchase a new hinge.

I apologize for the blurry pics.

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Is this really a thing? I've had a ton of Montero's and my personal rig and the one i sold to PA_JERO are 2 very long standing Gen 2's (94 SR and '99) both have had a 35 hanging on the rear door for 9 and 11 years with no issues. Is this a rust thing? Maybe do a brass pin like heavy gates and iron doors have?

FWIW i have a lathe and knurling tool

I had a broken bottom hinge on my 98, no idea how it got that way though. It was easy to source a newer one from the local scrapyard though
