Gen3 Neutral safety switch

Recently my wifes 2002 Gen 3 will not crank in park...its happened twice already in a 3 month period. Truck will start once I put the transmission in neutral when the issue happened.

I am wondering if this is somewhat of a issue on the Gen3

My car used to switch between drive and neutral randomly. I disassembled the Neutral Safety Switch and found water and corrosion shorting it out. After cleaning and some dielectric grease it has worked flawlessly.
