GMC suburban 5speed

Just picked up our new expedition rig and could not be happier with it. It is a 91 3/4 to suburban that has had a nv4500 5 speed put in it, also has a factory 4:10 gears with a g80 rear locker/posi in it. Plans are 4inches of lift with 37’s and adding a front locker and swapping to 4:56 gears. I am sure i will be adding a lot of little stuff along the way.

Wow, that's a rare bird! Was it special ordered from the factory? I thought Chevy stopped putting the manual transmission in the Suburban some time in the 80's.

Ya it started its life as automatic, the swap was done very nice and clean. Honestly in person it looks factory

Hey KC welcome to the site and thanks for posting pics of your rig. I love those old `Burbs´as does alomost everyone else here on expo. We have a GM guru here called Larry who also has a great old Surburban. Check out his build thread and you can probably get some good info on old school Burbs. Thanks posting up. Cheers, Chilli..
