Got dirty

1st time in my bike in worse than a graveled forest service road.

We headed out to find the old Simpson Railroad crash from the movie "Ring of Fire" in our backyard. The wife and kids were in the Xterra and I rode my DL650. :bike_rider:

I fell in love with that bike all over again.

Got through the loose gravel, axle-high mud, off camber curves and blind corners... Cut our want through a little downfall and drug a few logs from the road.

We had a flipping awesome time. I was dirty as hell, the wife had a blast and I could hear the kids giggling over the radio when she keyed up..

I'm addicted.

I learned a few things too- I need handguards for my handlebars, and I think a dual sport or DOT-approved MX helmet are a must. My Scorpion EXO-400 got REAL fogged and hot with all the work that is demanded of a rider in the woods. I am also going to get a good pair of MX boots for protection.

I couldn't take more pics because it was pissing rain, but I had to take this one (with the work phone, wouldn't have sacrificed my personal one to the rain...) That deadfall was directly over the X.. :snorkel:

So I apologize about the lack of pictures, but we had an awesome time... :D
