The base truck (Unimog) is fine but the concept was definitely a horse designed by a committee.If you want one to obtain the base truck (might be a bit short) and rework it for travel, good on you but I would never bid on one to use it for it's designed purpose. I sure hope that the implements didn't come from Germany (my tech manual "SOMAPRI" for a SEE doesn't show where all the hydraulic stuff came from).
As far as slow and underpowered (the speedo only goes to 60 so what did you expext?), welcome to the Unimog world...

Well...It looks as if somebody thought the truck in the OP was worth $15,005. Of course it was runner too. Those others in Ft. Lewis are non-runners supposedly and so far are going for a lot less so far, though bidding closes tonight.

Interesting, looks like they sold between 3600 and 15k. Now there's 2 in Hawii
