Great Sandy Desert Expedition to Dragon Tree Soak - July 2010

Have slowly been getting my blogs and video clips together of our expedition into the Great Sandy Desert of Northern Western Australia. A few amateurish Windows movie maker efforts of the first days including some of the issues like steel rims cracking and letting all the air out. Just what you need really. Links to the blogs for each days trip report are usually found at the bottom of each video at the Vimeo site.

In brief, this leg of our three month desert odysey involved three vehicles and Arctic Cat quads pushing through 800 kilometres of desert area utilising old survey lines where we could. Our aim was the Dragon Tree Soak Conservation Reserve, a true oasis in the middle of a very harsh land. It was an interesting trip of 8 days, not without difficulties and more than a bit of tyre damage. Hope the videos do it justice.
