I must say that I'm fairly new to this and ask in advance that you excuse my ignorance of the expo lifestyle. I plan on eventually making a rig with a utility bed as my base with a RTT set on top. My question is this though; I currently drive a RAM 3500 dually with a 9' flatbed which is 96" wide. How could I (or could I) get setup with a RTT on the bed until I can acquire my base?

I would look to fab up some sort of raised platform on your flatbed. You would still have room to store some things under the rtt that way.

Maybe post a picture of your truck and I'm sure you will get a few ideas.

This is the basic idea (not my truck, but almost identical) with the exception I have a tool box at the front. I have about 8' of space on the bed.
