By on the road to "On the road to SCI" did you mean Safari Club International in Reno? It would have been great to meet up with you. I enjoy that show very much.

Hey thanks a lot 4 your welcome , :coffeedrink: , on the road to SCL means on the road to Santiago , Chile (SCL)

That pic is in our passig through Argentina (that is San Carlos de Bariloche , sort of 800 miles south of Santiago, Chile) ... Farellones is our ski / mountain village that is 20 miles away of Santiago :) .

Glad you are safe, and I hope the same for all of your family.

I heard from Jorge, and he/his family is safe also, though they suffered some serious damage.

Yes thanks a lot 4 your concern, it was really terrible large (8.8) and long (1:30 min) quake and we had a really scary night, in fact, it has been trembling all day with small (4.5 to 6.2) aftershocks. My two kids (11 and 9)were pretty scared and we ended all 4 sleeping in our bed. During the quake there was a power shortage for like 1 hour , after this we could see Cnn and local news flashes and see the magnitude of the destruction. Our house close to the mountains did allright, all our relatives are doing fine luckily. Many bridges down even inside of Santiago , the road to the south is cut like in 3 points. Lets pray this stone crusher stops for now...

Thanks a lot guys, we are really scared since we will have afterstrucks for a month or even 2 , we've felt like 60 today and even 6.5 intensity. Hope it tends to calm down.

Good luck, G-D bless, and if it's any consolation, the rate and intensity of the aftershocks drops off pretty quickly....

Thanks guys, again we appreciate your suport and prayers. The epicenter was like 200 miles from here (Santiago, nevertheless we got a 8.8 quake here) so imagine what is going on there (9.0) , am watching tv where fishing boats ended in the streets (due to local water rise ) in southern cities like toys or like a film , can't really believe this would happen to us (last big quake was in 1985, and the biggest ever recorded was 9.5 in 1960 some 200 miles south of what happened today)
