I'm still looking for a route.. The Lone Star State seems to be showing a lot of interest.. Plus the Florida folks..

So far.. and I'm open to go anywhere..(delays in life are inevitable, it's really how you deal with'em). It's currently in the shop.. I'll post up more when I know something..

(I was secretly thinking a run the whole I-10 thing would be cool... with a side trip up to Dallas..). Colorado may be a bit tough at the moment.. But I've been playing with my routing software. (Why couldn't this clown have dropped it off in Oregon or Idaho for a North South Run..).

So far I see BnGuy, Westtexasrepublic, Tdesanto for TX
Nullifier, 1speed for Florida

Nobody else???

Don't feel to bad about the clutch issue Joe, my friend is in Sacramento right know with similar issue's on his 06 Tacoma. I think Gm and Toyota sharing factory space is starting to rub off some of the Chevy stink on Toyota quality.... hmmmmmm... Chevota Tacanyon's..... Just kidding :jump: No sleep till Florida!!!!! a) it happened in my state
b) I have AAA+ coverage (no towing)
c) I wasn't in Baja this coming Oct/Nov when this breakage took place..

I recently had this very same "it happens for a reason" conversation with a well respected portal member. I'll be on my way tomorrow.. Meanwhile I've already gotten some calls to hit across the street..

I look at it this way.. I'll have a new truck by the time I get through this week.. :jump:

I've been bouncing between Decatur (northwest of Ft. Worth) and Houston (home) a bunch lately, as I have had a project in the oil patch taking time up there. I'd love to be on the list for either Houston or Dallas, if you make that detour.

Problem for me is, I don't know if I'll be home in Houston or up here in Decatur (where I am now) when you come through. I'll closely watch this thread for details.

Well folks after finding out yesterday that I'll be staying overnight I met up with another portal member. Mike (tibaal89)! Mike thanks for sharing your goals and of course letting me drool over your "heavily" used FJ. You Rock(crawl) and you're definetly on your way (expo travel)

I should have the truck back in the next few hours bearing any issues. I've called Precision Toyota to followup on the repairs and awaiting a call.. Then it's off to the races..

The Holiday Inn Express was OK.. Free breakfast, hi-speed access, morning paper all included. Food.. Fruit was fresh, bacon was a little undercooked, Sausage was bland, hashbrowns needed some Tapatio.. A tortia or burrito would've made it all great...

internal damage bell housing
broken/damaged throw-out bearings

Gotta get a few parts. They'll be in overnight and I'm gonna be on the road tomorrow.... Sorry guys for the delay. It's outta my hands..

I'm gonna go get something to do.. Maybe a DVD for the laptop.. The Trip is still ON.. just gotta get my baby back.. (I think that's a jingle).

(I really think it's my horizon trying to sabotoge the whole trip, told ya she was jealous. Now she's being down wright vindictive ) I think I'll stop by a voodoo specialist in New Orleans and get this over with.
