Does eastern NC count. Lived with one outside for ~2.5 years there too.

Dood, I don't want to argue with you about this. It would be pointless. I will only suggest that I didn't see anything in your post suggesting that your environmental experience or geographic location was relevent to my question. Perhaps rather than posting "Look above" it would have been better to post a response about having two and a half years in coastal Carolina with neoprene cover on your jack and you experienced X amount of rust, etc. etc. etc.

I think that you will see by rereading the posts that deriving an answer to my specific question was pretty difficult to do with the posts you provided. Sometimes people asking questions may appreciate you "dumbing it down" for them. I really wish I had known that you had extensive experience with your jack cover in environments similiar to mine, I'd have PM'd you with my question or asked you directly in the thread...but how am I going to know that, really?

My "look above" was merly meant to be taken as a light-hearted: This was my experiences in rainy or highly humid conditions. That's all.

enough mucking up the thread...

I saw a Hi Lift accessory once that was a "tongue extender"...for the life of me (and my google searches) I can't find it. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'd like to get one of those...it extended the jack "tongue" about 2 or 3 inches.
