Thank you!! And I got it from a conversion van at a local pick-a-part for free...I was considering doing another size but I like free lol
Thanks. That's a source I hadn't thought of ... and free is always good! Love the flap door too.

Looking good! I've got the same draw latches on my back gate, got them off of Amazon, they are much smaller than they appear online, but the do work well. I put two on my back gate to help keep the door level. Also I used a piano hinge the full length of the door to help with the weight of the door.

Looking good! We're at a similar stage with our builds and I'm currently wrestling with water tank etc. options. Sorry if I missed it but where did you source your tank?

That is the water tank I will be getting for my trailer. at $75.00 that's the cheapest per gallon I can find that also fits my dimensions. I believe this is the same tank that @1Louder used on his tank, but h'll have to correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks capnjackcanon. That's a bit bigger than I was thinking of but it's worth considering. I see that they don't ship to Canada but I'm sure there's a supplier here with something similar.

PCO6,

I didn't look at the Ontario location sorry about that. If it wasn't for the shipping that guy does have a huge variety of sizes, he has a whole eBay store for water tanks.

Did you modify an off the shelf fender or did you make those? If you made them what gauge metal did you use? I need to figure out what to do for mine in the next week or so.

97kurt - Re fenders, I modified a set and it was quite easy. The fender width worked out fine in my case but I was prepared to by 3 fenders and cut one up to use for widening the other 2 if I had to (I've done that before & it cuts down on the welding). The fenders cost $20 each and no doubt I would have paid at least that in materials if I had built my own.

Post #4 of my thread shows how I did mine and a later post shows how they turned out. They are 14 gauge and I didn't have to built any kind of frame work which helped to cut down the weight. Total time to cut and weld two fenders was about an hour.

That's the one. Sounds silly but get the biggest you can fit. You don't have to fill it to the rim but at least you have the option to. I have had others use my water and it can go quickly when that happens. Nice build by the way...!

Got a few things done. Decided I want to add shocks and that means relocating the water tank. Also made some progress on electrical box. Also got a bigger storage unit for all the crap....:))))
