How often change fuel filter gen 2 Montero 3.5 SR?

How often should the fuel filter be changed? I have a 1994 Gen 2 Montero DOHC. I've always changed it every 20,000 miles, which is five years or a bit more. Nothing in the Owner's Manual, just states to inspect fuel lines. Fuel filter not listed under Maintenance.

With it sitting more than being driven 20k is about right, but for vehicles being driven daily I believe it is about every 60k miles.
