I need to find a specialty lubricant outlet....

....either near Riverside/Corona or San Dimas.

I'm looking for a low ash 5W30 synthetic meeting ACEA C3 which has proven very tough to find. I can find ACEA A and B spec oil but not the C3.

Thanx.

Thanx Pete. Not sure how much real difference there is when it comes down to it between 5w30 vs 5w40 but I do have an extended warranty I need to be mindful of.

Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30 is ACEA C3. Also meets BMW Longlife 04 plus numerous VW specs. Look up the product sheet on Google. Apparently only available thru Mercedes and Dodge Sprinter dealers even though Mobil 1 ESP Formula M 5W-40 meets Mercedes 229.51 and the 5W-30 meets no Mercedes specs. There's also a Castrol 5W-30 sold at BMW dealers that's C3.
What kind of vehicle?

Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD.

I ended up establishing an account with Amsoil and went with the European Car 5w40 formula that was posted earlier. I had a rather extensive discussion with Amsoil on the product which led me to setting up the account and then I had the case on my front porch 2 days later which was nice.

Also.....Amsoil is a distributor for Mann filters and they charged me $9.95 for the oil filter.....the local jeep dealer charged me $45. Anyways...when the Mann filter showed up last night I thought it looked very familiar so I opened up the OEM filter which came in a Mercedes box and what do you know......virtually identical even down to the part number. The only difference is that the OEM has a small Mercedes symbol stenciled on it

I'll post pix tomorrow but for anyone with a CRD....forget the dealer on the filters.
