It looks an awful lot like a Jeep, but has the Mitsubishi logo on the front.

Does that make it a Jitsubishi or a Mitsubeep?

The Jeep guys will know more, but I'm fairly certain Mitsu built a version of the CJ3B back in the day. I dunno if it was for import to the USA or a JDM model. Might have also been for the JDF or maybe used in Korea? I dig the 3 wiper arrangement, sort of an upside down FJ Cruiser. Very cool, is this local to you?

No, unless you define local as the same planet. It was near the Kegon Falls in Nikko, Japan, at 36°44'19.33"N and 139°29'59.35"E

I saw a lot of Jeep Jeeps there so I was curious about this one.

It's a Jitsubitchy - but only when she's driving it.

IIRC the CJ-3B was licensed by Jeep to Mitsu to be manufactured in Japan post WWII. Mitsu made both JDF and civi versions of their Jeep. Mitsu stopped making their Jeep in 1998 and Mahindra, who also obtained licensing to build the CJ-3B, still pumps them out in India today.
