Importing an Australian camping trailer into Canada

Hey everyone,

I'm desperately trying to import a camping trailer manufactured in Australia into Canada. Another trailer has not yet been previously imported into Canada nor pre-qualified to be. Does anyone have any insight into the process to get a well made Australian camper imported?

I believe that as soon soon as the trailer has a chassis number (VIN number) you will run into issues. Bringing in just the camper box and mounting it onto a canadian chassis should be fine.

Try talking to the kinds folks at North American Safari Company. They went through this process so they could have an Echo 4x4 trailer from South Africa, and now sell them to consumers.

Which one you looking at? Have you asked them the question as they may have had similar enquiries before.
