Improved MPG with steeper gears.

i get 17mpg on 37x13.5s in my rubicon manual trans on the highway. stop and go it drops to 15.5 ish

4.10's? That's crazy!

try checking your speedometer vs. your GPS to see if the procal did the correct speedo re-calibration.

The GPS doesn't typically lie on your actual speed, so the vehicle speedo should line up pretty close.

I did just this today. Cruise control at 40 showed 40 on the odometer. Just going to have to fill it up again and do the math.

Yep 4.10s I run it about 70.

Around town the key is to not lug the engine. If its below 1800 when you try and excellerate it will burn more fuel

Here is a screen shot of a great little MPG tracker I use. Just input each fill up, miles and total price it does everything. Currently running 315/70/17 Duratrac 34.4 new about 60% tread on them now and 4.88s Really wish I had done 4.56.

The big jump at 12/27/2014 was when I had a different exhaust on the JK but it was so loud I could not stand it. Pulled it off back to stock for now.

Well you don't have to tell me 2x lol. I went last year and loved it. Anytime you can mix jeeps and beaches I will always have fun. I have not decided if we are going to do tues-sunday or just Friday on but I will reach out and say hey.

FWD does not improve mileage.

Actually, it does.

Due to the rear diff in a RWD vehicle having to re-direct the power at 90 degrees, a RWD car will always have more drivetrain loss than an FWD car that doesn't have that 90 deg "bend" in the power.
Physics says there is nothing you can do about it. "90 degree" diffs are just inefficient.

Typical FWD cars lose about 15-18% power to the drivetrain.
Typical RWD cars lose about 22-25% power to the drivetrain.

That's assuming the engine is mounted that way. My example still has the 90 degree change. Also There are RWD cars with transverse mounted engines that would get the same benefit.
