Sarah's pics again..
If you've never been to Toroweep, you may find it interesting (as I did, having never been there before) that the rim of the canyon is populated by big rock "hay bales" with large gaps between. Kind of fun to crawl and jump around on, but also neat to look into the cracks for critters. I didn't see anything but little lizards, but kept thinking that if I fell down between the large hay bale rocks I would probably discover a whole 'nother collection of species just out of sight in the shadows...
How she can possibly look like she just woke up after a couple of hours climbing around Toroweep is beyond me. Oops, wait, I have cycled-around through the gallery and these are from the beginning of our trip, somewhere near Limon, Colorado I think...
We endured hundreds of miles of this on either end of our trip, so a little grumpiness was to be expected..
While I find it nice to have my own little space carved-out for the duration, I do also recognize that it's good to switch things up a bit for the back seat dwellers...
Of course, that brings a whole new dynamic to the the back seat...
