the best part about the sliding bed & table besides no legs
is that i will be able to work in the early am while my better 98% remains in bed
no break down / setup to disturb or disrupt
just pull out the table and get - to - work . . .
extends over 35" past the bed
bear in mind that this is a 60' wide queen bed
will integrate a spring loaded gate pin into the underside of the table to provide the stop points for the slide & lock into place

Woh, woh, woh. Don't give yourself too much credit there. She is most likely 99%. I guess your building skills probably help you to maintain a 2% level though. ;)

Love the slide out table. How much play does it have?

funny you should say that
after 25 years of marriage i officially went from 1% to 2%
not that she has declined in any way
BUT i have actually improved that much
1% to 2% is a 100% increase my friend !!!!!
seriously out punted my coverage with my bride!

regarding the slides they are about 13" on center for the table mounting points and 18" on the cubical
the drawer slides are 40" closed 88" at full extension
closed there is almost 0 deflection / wiggle
fully extended there is less that 1" total deflection, 0.5" each direction
slide is rated 260 lbs and the butcher block weighs 50lbs or so
could a big rascal like me induce a huge radial load and increase this value, without question
but with the 60 combined points of attachment it is a rigid system

plan to use the 24" slides for our pantry
extends 32" (50"+ total) so we can police up items should they fall

productive weekend focused on the AC side of things

starting layout

1681751685986.png

i pulled the sink and kitchen base cabinet to organize the cables and add strain relief

1681751464294.png

1681751489847.png

ferrules for everyone

1681751522004.png

why Victron does not used studs makes no sense to me

1681751567151.png

'finished' the AC side of things
cables from opposite side of batteries to facilitate balanced charging / utilization
terminal fuse to protect the cable
400A fuse to protect the multi-plus
400A fuse in the lynxshut
50A main breaker

1681751764550.png

green means 'GO'

1681752111989.png

ITS ALIVE!!!!

the amazing part about ambulances is the fact that every circuit is a home run of wiring
i have not purchased any wire / cable except for the 6/3 wire for the inverter out to AC panel
. . . until now
had to purchased 6 AWG for the DC circut(s)
bringing power to the DC panel
power from the DC-DC Orion
ferrules or lugs + heat shrink for everyone

1682341222317.png

had to R & R the fuses as i had installed them on top of the leads and not fuse - lug - washer - lock washer - bolt order

1682341357179.png

buttoned up for the 10th time
only 90 more to go?!

1682341503981.png

great part about the electrical compartment location is the access to all the wiring connections

1682342587353.png

took the opportunity to install an outlet for the water heater
thought it best to be able to remove the water heater by unplugging as opposed to disconnecting the wiring

1682342676738.png

1682342644189.png

AC cables completed w/ strain relief

1682342751673.png

DC side in process
the 4 light zones are connected and working

1682342837935.png

the position where the switches are hanging will be the approx location of the Victron touch 70 screen

and below will be the location for switches

purchased blank plates from New Wire Marine
the one with holes was a test fit to see if the dimmers can be incorporated easily
dimmers on top of each respective switch

once more into the fray . . .

hauled the fixtures out of the box once more once

1682939339415.png

lifeproof flooring installed

1682939456372.png

cuts well with chopsaw as well on the table saw

1682939479676.png

utilized a gate spring latch to lock the table into the different deployment positions

1682939662993.png

clears the 'boxes'

wrapping up the wet side of things
this compartment is directly under the sink with its own 12 gallon grey tank
wired the hot water heater and plugged it in to the designated circuit outlet

1683543988346.png

utilizing braided stainless hot water heater lines for all of the water connections
minimizes number of fittings and the rubber gasket makes the seals 'certain'
i can always get a pair of channel lock pliers in there and tighten them up if necessary
have not plumbed to the truck coolant loop yet . . . this will follow later

1683544229702.png

utilizing common garden hose Y splitter allows me to shut off each water circuit separately
hot water heater problem . . . cut the supply
shower leaking . . . cut the supply
faucet leaking . . . cut the supply
shower is next and then the remaining water hoses will be connected to the respective hot/cold supply

water supply / fill finally addressed
it is internal and to facilitate external wall mounted filling would have forced other compromises in the layout / location of water supply
trade off for safety, simplicity & trouble shooting potential failures
this is all interior heated space

1685405203882.png

1685405254010.png

maybe 3-4mm clearance

1685405303177.png

installed touch 70 screen
switches w/ dimmers for the 4 separate interior light circuits
additional switch panel for exterior flood lights & chicken lights
and other circuits (fans, circ pump, heating pads

1685405390342.png

little bit of room remains for the heater & ac control panels

1685405585770.png

half the dangling wires are trussed up and we can finish insulation & back wall
and brought out one of the mattresses
very comfortable and supportive
not too far of a step from the seat to the bed
26 1/2" from bed surface to ceiling
24 1/2" from seat to bed surface
