Thanks! I've been sitting on the side lines just absorbing all the info I can.:coffeedrink: There's a wealth of info on this site. Thought I could add a little info from expierence.

I ordered both front and rear bumpers with a Warn 8000lb winch from Kennesaw Mount Accessories. He told me it was gonna take about a month and a half to get the materials and build them. Right on time he e-mailed me and said they were ready to be mounted. I drove up, he mounted them, and they look friggin awesome! I'm more than satisfied with their products. The folks that said the bumpers had poor welds and were unsatisfied must have gotten the 'Friday Afternoon' bumpers. Mine are very high quality. Just my $0.02 ;)

Below is a link to another not so good experience with KMA. Not mine, but thought you should see it as you're looking at them and it's for a similar body style suburban. I debated going with KMA also but I couldn't get over the seemingly endless bad reviews. That being said, 02TahoeMD's bumper obviously ended up great and not every company is going to be perfect. I ended up getting an ARB up front and a Buckstop for the rear on my 2003 Tahoe.

Bumper Pics

Pictures?

Here's a couple of pics of my bumpers. Forgive the dirt, i need to wash her. Mine came out fine but looking at everyone else's expierences, it appears I must have caught 'em on a good day.

P.S. Never mind the hood/grill carnage :( It's the reason I needed a new bumper. I may have been offroading a bit too aggressively and a tree jumped out in front of me. Damn jumping trees ;) lol

Wow, Seems like the more I read the worse the stories get. Needless to say their emails back to me were not the answers I was looking for. So I guess I will need to continue my search for an affordable front and rear bumper.

I did check out Buck-Stop bumpers and they will defiantly have business for my rear-bumper. Now to find a front that is affordable.

My purchase went fairly smoothly.

I worked back and forth with Kyle for a couple weeks before ordering. We tweaked the bumper to my liking, and the price didn't change at all. I added custom light holes/tabs, changed the overall width, changed the center width, and it all shipped out to me correctly.

Granted, I agree with others statements... be prepared to work a little magic on it. I had mine shipped to my local fabricator and we further modified the KMA bumper and added the grille guard.

I guess KMA liked how mine came out, they posted my truck on their website.

My bumper was, I beleive, 2 weeks late. Not bad, but I was coordinating with my fabricator too, so it kinda sucked.

If you do order with them, keep them honest about the schedule. I contacted Kyle almost every week to see how the schedule was going. It seemed to pay off.

I'd also recommend getting it powder-coated... but KMA doesn't offer that. I had mine done post-KMA.

I have had my KMA for over a year now. great bumper, solid! It took them about 2 months from order to getting on my door step. but like others I just followed up with Kyle every other week to track progress as I was heading off to GONEmoab the weekend after I got the bumper and really needed (wanted) it. I told him I would brag about how great his product was if he got it to me on time. he held up his end. good luck man!

Good Info. Seems like the trend on getting a good bumper is just calling every week and keeping an update on them. How much modifying is necessary? I have plenty of tools and big shop, I just don't want something that I need to start hacking at and it look like shoot.
