Gun Toting Gearhead
It's difficult to follow up with my junk after seeing work like that ^ ^ but I just picked up three gorgeous 6-1/8" damascus blanks to build this week... Two will be Christmas gifts, the third one I plan to carry so it will get a Kydex sheath and rosewood scales to match the grips on my Sig P238. I'm excited to see how these turn out.

And here's my bush knives and brush gun posing together. The hatchet is a sturdy $10 Harbor Freight find with a carbon steel head and walnut handle that I reshaped slightly and then refinished.

Exceptional work Peter!
I haven't seen any Cold Steel knives except for one in Peters' posts. My main camp/hunting knife would be a San Mai III Cold Steel Trailmaster. Well worth the money. Last year I bought a Gransfors Brüks Hunters Axe which is an exceptional skinning tool. Can limb a tree with it as well if needed.
I've considered replacing the handle on my Trailmaster a couple times; As first and foremost its a work knife I need to ensure that I can grip it when the handle is muddy/bloody/wet/etc seems that the rubber handle that it comes with would do that job best.

By the way, what do you use to keep your knives sharp? I have a Professional Edge Pro. I've used it for 5 years and its amazing.

Hell, I don't think anyone really cares if the only vehicle you have is a Prius, as long as you love the Art of Exploring, then you're one of us.

I didn't even look to see that the knife post was your first one. Welcome to the Forum!
