LED Light Bars; Post Up Pics

I have a friend with 4 spot duallies on his rig and they're very focused. I'd descibe them as pencil beams. You can see 4 very distinct spots of light down the road when he has them on. I think they'd be good if you want to fill in a very specific spot that isn't covered, but if you're using them as driving lights and want a nice spread, that's not what they were designed for.

The Dually D2 Driving Lights with 6 LED's are much better than the 4 LED dually spots. I wish I had bought the driving beam instead of the wide/flood pattern.

The only problem with that is bluish light turns green when ran through a yellow filter. I'm battling that on my HID retrofit kit on my fogs...

I am guessing you bought 6000k or higher HID retros? My 4300ks are just white, with a touch of yellow, but damn bright.

Are the squadrons LED? if so, It looks like they are using warmer colored LEDs. Is that the case or just the photo?

i have a rigid, 20" spot which throws a decent amount of light.
the lower is a 30" flood the combination is about perfect. the 30" lights up to about 100 yards in every direction. and the 20" gets out to about 600 yards straight ahead. ill have to read the box but i

Anyone know where I can get just the unit for the Baja Designs stealth bar? The part that moves the bar up and down?

The squadrons are LED, but I'm guessing you are referring to the front round LEDs, which are PIAA LP570s.

I was referring to the color of light that was being tossed on the ground when you said they were on. Are they blue color like rigids etc?

I was pondering some of the same points as Dan. My solution was to test different lights at different distances using a lux meter. Lux (light per area) is by far the best unit to measure true light output. For example, at 50 yards, a Rigid 40" light bar put out 36 lux vs the 4 lux an M&R (a Chinese sourced brand popular in the Raptor community) 40" light bar put out.

As a follow-up, I was able to do another test this year. Here are the results:
