LED Utility Lamps

I always wanted bright utility lamps on our FJ Cruiser. For our new build I purchased some samples from China to test. They appear to be quality lamps. Here is my full blog post on them: http://www.myfjcruiser.org/?p=2887

Why don't you go ahead and actually give out the name of the company that sales these lights? Or even better, a link to purchase from.

There isn't a company to purchase from in the article. He purchased some lamps, he has put them on, he will let us know how they work out. What is the point if we don't know who made them or where to get them?

There would still be the same amount of hits on the site if the manufacturer was mentioned. At 30 dollars apiece (per one light?), they are much cheaper than I've been able to find for a dedicated LED utility light. Sure would like to know where to get them.

They look bright enough. I only need to illuminate rear area for backing up etc. Don't need to signal the Space Station.

I'd like to see a link.

The lights look real close to the Maxxima MWL-01. The maxxima has 6 leds and is bright as hell. Ebay has em. The back of the light is different then the maxxima light and has 2 more leds.

For those in search of LED lights of all kinds, I suggest looking here:
http://www.superbrightleds.com/

I bought some small LED fixtures for a remote off-the-grid cabin I have in the Colorado high country. I bought 6x fixtures with 3x LEDs each and crafted a "poor man's light bar" for the inside of the cabin. I power it with one of those battery jumper boxes... a small cheap one from Black & Decker...

I have to tell you, the lights are fantastic-- very bright-- and must draw very little power... I'll leave the lights on for several hours for a 2 night trip and when I bring the jumper box home for re-charging, it still shows darn near a full charge.

I purchased the lights from the overseas manufacture as samples. If you are ready to purchase a large lot of them (500 lights) I am sure they would be happy to sell them to you. After I run the lights for some time and they last I am going to talk with some importers to see if they might be interested. I suspect that retail on the lights would be around $75.00 each or more with all the import costs and markup included.

Being low cost LED's I am very interested in how well they hold up.

I have one that looks just like the ones in this thread from TruckLite, its used as a back up light. A bit more pricey but put out the light.

Hmmmm, something's not adding up here. Also, where'd you buy them? As a respected internet type guy I too would like to purchase some low cost led lights as a sample to write a review on in my internationally recognized blog. :snorkel:

I don't know what does not add up. The company contacted me about a year ago and I held off on purchasing any lights from them until I was working on this new build. I think they are looking for companies to carry their line of lights and I said that I would purchase some samples and review them. Seems to me that 1+1=2 in this case.

As for the blog, I get about 300+ readers a days. Most of them are from the US but good analytics shows some from all over the world.

I don't know where the bashing is coming from. I am trying to be up front about the information that I have.

I don't know why other members gave "datoy" a hard time. He just wanted to contribute useful information to the forums.
