Let me see your first gen's

Are you willing to travel for it? There's always a few good ones around Tennessee and Georgia for good prices. I almost bought one from Georgia but ran across my current one locally and for a smoking deal. I guess I got to post a picture to so,, this is mine:

Any chance you know what size lift that is? Tires look to be 35's

I have no idea man. I think it's ~3 inches. Stock our trucks have to be able to fit 33's in the wheel well, with rubbing, cause I put my brothers 32's on mine to see the size and I still had a little room left. I think a true 3 to 4 inch lift will handle 35's even though I wouldn't go over 33's personally.

My wife (girlfriend at the time) actually talked me into saving my 79 Hilux back in 03. It was bone stock and my dad purchased the truck from a neighbor a year prior. It barely ran on top of needing a lot of work. He called me up one day and said 'it's going to the scrap yard unless you come get it'. I was hesitant but my wife eventually talked me into it which to this day is hard for me to believe lol... After a carb tune, vacuum line delete and a little love the Rot Box has taken me from the top of Montana to the bottom of Utah and everywhere in between more times than I could ever count. I've logged well over 100k miles and had some of the best times of my life. If I didn't need room for car seats I would still be driving it--truth be told it's a lot more fun compared to the 100 series :coffeedrink:

Pretty sure that truck is for sale.... or at least it was last time I saw it. If your interested I can call the owner and see what the current status is.

EDIT: It's definitely more than $3K though... such a wicked rig.

If you can find out how much, post it up or pm me. I might break open the piggy bank lol.

Rust does a body good.
I don't think you're fitting 33s stock. I had to trim to get my 31 inch treadwrights to clear at full stuff.

I haven't tried it. But they looked like they might. 32's fit without rub but I didn't flex it
