I've been looking at the Yakima OverHaul HD rack mounted on T slots like this. I know the load rating goes down but does it feel anymore flimsy being mounted in the slots versus direct mounted to the bed? I guess I'm nervous because the rails/slots mount to the bed with clamps and then the Yakima rack mounts to the rails. It just gives me vibes of having a bunch of extensions on a ratchet.Still a lot of work to be done but she is coming along nice

Brandon would go.Co-Hosted a Rigs & Food event for "overland" rigs. Great turn out for the first one, met a lot of great people and had some really good conversations. Looking forward to doing more.

I hope soBrandon would go.
Take it as an opertunity to upgrade. If your going to off road remove the active grill shutter and throw it away they are sensitive and easily broken and not necessary. Either live with the check engine light or get a tune to turn it off. And maybe install beefer aftermarket grill inserts or make your own. When you have flimsey factory stuff fail i always like to take it as an opertunity to upgrade. Thanks for sharing your uh oh moments we all have them.Didn't go as planned... Active shutters, Upper Grill, and Lower Grill to be replaced. It was a blast though!View attachment 717237
