EDIT 5/9/11 --- If you don't want to read the entire thread, my trailer has many issues and I'm having difficulty sorting them out with Little Guy. Caveat Emptor.
If you're considering an off-road teardrop trailer, look to Adventure Trailers or Moby1.
6/14/11 EDIT to the EDIT: Little Guy is returning my trailer to the factory this week to try and address the lingering issues.
8/20/11 -- Edit to the Edit to the Edit: Got the trailer back today and it's still not right. It's at a local shop getting fixed and I'll fix some other things.
Long story short, if you see a Little Guy on a lot and like it, go ahead and buy it. It's not a bad little trailer.
If you want one modded, do it yourself or have another outfitter like Adventure Trailers or Bunduguy do it. Little Guy doesn't understand overlanding and is not equipped to service our demographic.
I chatted with Chris from Little Guy online the other day and was pleasantly surprised; they are not part of the Global Conspiracy Against the Tall.
We're thinking of selling our Conqueror Compact and getting a teardrop. But, at 6'5", I want a large bed in the teardrop.
I had hitherto dismissed Little Guy trailers. Seemed that they were "cute" but either didn't have a large bed or didn't have a proper galley.
Then the chat with Chris. And he says that they can build a Silver Shadow 6'x10' with a Rough Rider chassis. He'll make room for two Optimas, tires to match my JK, an ARB fridge.
:Wow1: :Wow1:
That's a rolling kingsized bed with a full galley on 33s. Everything I need.
I'm also thinking of adding solar and plan to consult with Jim at Optima abouth thoughts on that.
Suggestions, comments, advice, sympathy are all welcomed now.
