Look what I found on Friday...

Howdy Chuck, this was my second repower of a smogged vehicle. I had to use the newer year engine or the same. As for being heavy duty, I used a heavy duty engine(only real difference with the 6.2 is the intake manifold and the built in egr) because of its slightly better flow. All other pieces worked and passed inspections. Of course I smiled alot and told them how rough they(state workers) had it. I'm also a state worker, so, I don't think that hurt.

I still miss mine . . . sold to help finance our first mortgage (definitely worth it, as the cash from the old pig translated last year to selling that little casita for five times what we paid for it and using the proceeds to totally pay off our current place . . . not bad, but I still miss it).

Too bad you had to get rid of it, but it sounds like it was worth it!!
