Ken Cameron and Fred Hoess' truck is from the 1996 Kalimantan event.
Tim Hensley and Michael Hussey's truck was from the 1993 Sabah-Malaysia event. This is the truck that didn't sell on ebay a few weeks ago.

Great find by the OP. How long did you have to wait until Ken came out?

my bad on the Event. I was in my LR3 when he pulled up and parked next me. He seemed in a hurry so I didn't hold him up long, then I pulled the 3 out and my wife took the picture.

Another CT disco popped up in Harkness Park in Waterford, CT

Anyone know about this one? Or very elaborate replica (Interior roll cage, Roll cage mounted roof rack)

That CT truck sure looks the part. Aside from the internal roll cage and mounted rack, the Hella lights look correct. They are "rimless" fog/flood on the inside, and spot on the outside. The CT Adventure Wear and LR logo stickers on top of the windshield are pretty well sun faded. The only thing I can make out on the piece of paper behind the wipers is "It's Real".

The LR sticker under the gas flap and door stickers are too new. However, the main thing that sticks out to me as missing is the lack of team names, or remnants of them, on the wing in front of the flag. The wheels also look to be the 3 spoke RR type, not the steelies seen on the trucks on event.

It's obviously not from 1990. That was the intro year for the Discovery and a 3 door model was used in the Siberia CT.

It's probably not from 1991, as that was the last year of the blue colored CT logo. Of course the roof rack plaque could have been swapped from another evented truck.

Along those lines, probably not from 1992 Guyana either, as that year they went to the original black text for the CT logo, originally used from 1980-1985.

We know about the 1993 truck.

We know about the 1996 truck.

So that leaves either 1994 Argentina-Paraguay-Chile or 1995 Mundo Maya.

The 1997 and 1998 trucks had the blue and pink graphics along the bottom of the doors, and very large country flag stickers on the cargo side windows. Well, also, the 1998 Mongolia event used the Freelanders and 110 support trucks. There were no Discos for the final year.

Any chance you have some other pics or info from that show?

edit: Also just realized there are no convoy plates on the hood, or even holes where one would have been riveted to the hood. The convoy plates were used from 1995-1998.

edit 2: British By The Sea 2014, jump to 1:41 and you'll see it in the upper right with a few other Landies.

Yeah I wasn't sure if it had the 'Camel Cut' too. I've emailed the event organizer to see if they have any other info about the truck, or if they could forward my inquiry to the owner.

Google searching didn't find any other photos online. I've sent a message to the guy that took that photo to see if he has any more.
.
It does look like there were some nice rovers at the show - it is sitting next to a nice 2dr RRC
.
EDIT: I got out Chris Bennett's book on '94 and compared photos. It's not from '94. The mirrors are wrong and the front turn signals are different. It is a later model DI
.
.
EDIT2 - Ok I think I've been able to ID it. I think this is the same '95 truck that Land Rover had exhibited at Pebble Beach 2012 (same green text plaque on the roof rack/ blue on the door, same faded shell sticker on fenders but newer door and rear LR logo). You can download a high res of the display from Land Rover: http://www.interactivelandrover.com/lr/imegesinternal.php?categoria=LR_2012_PBC_d_E
.
Only difference is wheels/tires

I found this pic, and this site is where I emailed the organizer. The first one posted is a better, closer shot.

Somewhere I have a pic of (what may very well be) this same truck in a parking garage. A friend sent it to me and there was an association with Daphne Greene, who was in the 1995 event with Jim Swett.

Found the pic I was thinking of. It is the actual Team USA truck that Daphne and Jim drove in '95. The pic from the LR event says 1994 on the display sign, but the first thing written talks about Daphne being picked and making it through the selections. Not sure if it's still there, but a few years ago this was at the Irvine LR dealership. Note the convoy plate on the hood, too.
